Why send your work to me?

Although I am in full time medical practice, I have published more than 2,500 articles since 1976. I write regularly for The Lancet and my articles have appeared in JAMA and the BMJ, as well as newspapers and periodicals such as The Guardian, New Statesman, The Economist, and Vogue. 100,000 copies of my handbook Accepted for Publication were distributed to doctors world wide. This set out the policies and practices of The Lancet, The New England Journal of Medicine, The British Medical Journal and JAMA. I can advise you on how to meet the requirements of your journal of choice.

How can I see more examples of your work?

A wide range of my news and feature writing can be found on www.thelancet.com. Look under Kandela in the search engine and you will find over 120 other examples of my work.

I would like my research to be shaped into an article. How does your system work?

Send me your draft by fax, e-mail, or on CD. See contact me for my address details. I will phone you to discuss what needs to be done within 48 hours. We can discuss any queries in the papers and confirm that you wish to proceed. The revised paper will be returned to you, usually within five working days. If there are outstanding queries on either side, these can then be dealt with. I aim to turn around a paper within 7 days.

What does this cost?

The costs of all articles and writing projects are negotiable.
Please contact me for further details.
